Having provided services under this contract for more than nine years, GCAP will now serve as the primary consultant, working alongside PRISM to ensure that 30 plus California private and public utility organizations achieve a more competitive, innovative and inclusive supply chain. GCAP is set to deliver ongoing innovation and successful certification management programs, powered by the PRiSM Certification Management system.
“This partnership is a major and competitive win for PRISM.” said President and CEO of PRISM Compliance Donna Stevenson. “Our certification management module will allow Supplier Clearinghouse (SCH) vendors an automated and more intuitive way to apply for diverse business certification. CPUC will leverage the fastest growing database of suppliers; have the ability to easily prepare performance reports in support of its General Order 156; and give the utilities the ability to manage and perform supplier development. CPUC generates an aggregate 12.9 billion in spend and demands for a larger and diversified supplier base. As these and other national energy organizations lead the way in clean energy and climate control, we are confident that this partnership will make a significant impact in the Supplier Clearinghouses commitment to business diversity.”
“The GCAP team is proud to have PRISM Compliance Management (PRISM) as our certification software partner on the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) Supplier Clearinghouse program.” said President of GCAP Ed Salcedo, Jr., Esq. “The Supplier Clearinghouse is one of the largest certification programs in the nation.”
SCH operates under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission and General Order 156. Additionally, the Supplier Clearinghouse recognizes Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) certified by the California Department of General Services, as well as participants in the U.S. Small Business Administration's 8(a) Business Development Program who are seeking certification with the Clearinghouse. They maintain a comprehensive and reliable database of certified firms, which serves as a valuable resource for joint utility procurement-related outreach and opportunities.
PRISM’s innovative solution will allow GCAP to manage certification for approximately 8,000 firms. This includes processing all new applications, re-certifications, and reciprocal applications, processing denials and appeals, developing policies and procedures for processing online applications, developing system reports, tracking KPIs, providing strategic and compliance related support services and maintaining system data to ensure the CPUC’s Supplier Clearinghouse program is in full compliance with General Order 156 and other regulations.
